What Makes MICTAN Unique?

  • Our work is grounded in faith.
  • Our goal is to empower churches to develop viable HIV/AIDS prevention and education programs for African Americans within their communities.
  • We seek to develop educational resources and training modules that incorporate an appreciation for the unique organizational and interpersonal dynamics that exist within churches.
  • We are sensitive to the role of pastor as leader.
  • MICTAN is a network of highly skilled, local HIV service providers. Our TA providers are familiar with the epidemiological profile of HIV/AIDS, STDs and other health risk indicators in Middle Tennessee.
